ALL PAST PUPILS AND STAFF ARE INVITED TO THE 80th ANNIVERSARY REUNION CELEBRATING 80 YEARS OF ASHCOMBE ROAD EDUCATION SATURDAY 30TH JUNE Starting with the Amalgamation of
the Dorking High School for Boys and Dorking High School for Girls
in 1931 to form the co-educational Dorking County School; Later to
become the Dorking County Grammar School (DCGS) and then the Dorking
Grammar School before being amalgamated with the Mowbray Secondary
Modern School for Girls, which opened on the same site in 1959 in what is
now the Bradley Building, in 1976 as The Ashcombe
School. In 1992 the DIAMOND JUBILEE REUNION at The Ashcombe School was attended by
1500 past pupils over the three day event. ALL past PUPILS and STAFF of The Ashcombe
School and its predecessors are invited to attend the REUNION and CELEBRATIONS together with their
families (children welcome) It is planned that memorabilia from
the past should be on display – do you have any you could bring? Light
refreshments will be available. There will be opportunity to meet old friends
and colleagues from the past and present. The Ashcombe School Headteacher, David Blow, has kindly agreed to arrange
guided tours of the school. Why not gather your school chums
from the past and have a mini year reunion as part of the larger
